Campaign Period

The “Connect with Nature” campaign runs from September 10 to October 7, 2012.

The photo exhibition will take place following the campaign.

Conditions for Participation

People can participate in the campaign by registering their photos on the website www.landlifeweek.eu or via Twitter using the hashtag #connectanatura #connectnature #conectanaturaleza from September 10 to October 7, 2012.

Photos submitted must show how you connect with nature. There are no limits on the number of photos that can be submitted per person. To participate in the campaign it is recommended that the pictures are high resolution.

To be eligible for the campaign, participants must be legal adults or, if under the age of 18, have the consent of their parents or guardians.

No monetary or physical prizes will be awarded. The top 15 photographs will be part of an exhibition that will open at CosmoCaixa around November 2012 and which subsequently may become a traveling exhibition in 2013 throughout Europe.

The panel of judges shall comprise a professional photographer, a representative of the European Commission, a representative of the LandLife project and a representative of the La Caixa Foundation.

Industrial and Intellectual Property

Participants declare under their own responsibility that they are the creators of the photographic works submitted; they are directly liable for any damages that may arise from third-party claims of rights infringement in accordance with the prevailing regulations in this area, and exonerate the contest organizer of any such claim or compensation. Participants also take responsibility for any claims that may arise from intellectual property rights management organizations (SGAE, VEGAP, etc.) with which participants may be registered.

The authors of the photographs expressly assign Xarxa de Custòdia del Territori the transferable intellectual property rights to their work, particularly the rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication and transformation without economic compensation, for purposes related to nature photography contests and traveling exhibitions. In both cases, the author’s name shall always be credited, in accordance with the intellectual property laws in force.

According to Spanish Legislative Royal Decree 1/1996 of April 12, which ratified the amendment to the Spanish Intellectual Property Law, regularizing, clarifying and harmonizing the legal provisions for this matter, the authors of content, comments and opinions expressed on the Land Stewardship Week website www.landlifeweek.eu assign Xarxa de Custòdia del Territori the right to reproduce, publish and disseminate their content via any media or communication channel, public or private. Said assignment of rights shall last the maximum period established by Spanish Legislative Royal Decree 1/1996, shall be irreversible and free of charge, and shall become effective at the moment in which the user completes the online content creation form and clicks the button to publish it on the website www.landlifeweek.eu.

Any photos submitted via Twitter from September 10 to October 7, 2012 using the hashtag #connectanatura #connectnature #conectanaturaleza shall be included in the same contest. By assigning a photo the hashtag #connectanatura #connectnature #conectanaturaleza, the author authorizes the use thereof in the exhibition of the top photos of the campaign, in the event that said photo is chosen. In this case, the photo shall always be accompanied by the author’s username on Twitter.

In the case of contributions that, on account of their originality, could be described as works of art under the Spanish Intellectual Property Law, the authors assign the rights of reproduction and public communication of said contributions on a non-exclusive basis, free of charge and for the maximum time period established in Chapter I of Title III of the Spanish Legislative Royal Decree 1/1996 of April 12, which ratified the amendment to the Spanish Intellectual Property Law.

Limitation of Liability

Legambiente presenta il concorso fotografico europeo:

“Connect with Nature”

1. Presentazione e brief

1.1 Presentazione
